As far as the United States is concerned, they have the same history. The United States had a puppet there who was overthrown and they want control back.
The man being referred to at the start of this video is Fulgencio Batista.
There are greater ties to President Trump. His first term was as a reasonable man. He was out of office for 8 years, and returned as a brutal dictator. So, Trump is not the first time in history this has happened. A fact possibly more important than Trump wanting a puppet state back.

However, his second period of rule, initiated by a coup, was characterized by severe corruption, ties to organized crime, and brutal repression of political opposition, which ultimately fueled the rise of Fidel Castro and the 26th of July Movement.
I am afraid I am going to have to leave this one with you. There are people with greater knowledge. There is an undeniable consistency between Batista and Trump. Not the least of which when Bastita went to Miami he got hooked up with the mob, and then came back acting like a mobster.
Trump is a builder out of New York. You cannot be a builder in New York without mob ties. The mobs control the unions. The unions control construction. It all actually works very cohesively. Provided everybody remains in their place.
… like I said. I am in over my head. This could be nothing. Or the Mafioso is in fact the Deep State, in the US. Or they are partners, sharing intelligence, means, and devices.
