At some point, some illucid president will brag about how advanced our AI technology on the battlefield is superior to all others. And you will become a part of the most magnificent killing machine the world has ever seen. Then you will begin seeing images of exactly what you have helped create. The images will become ingrained in your subconscious for life.
I am not fussing. You have stood your ground before. My opinion matters precious little.
But presently every engineer in the world will become prey for the war monger lords whose job it is to feed the military industrial complex. This will be the only way to access the riches you have wanted, and worked hard for.
Google’s employee relationship was once founded on community. The Google campuses had everything any employee ever needed. Then they hired outside consultants to swoop in and suggest that for the future of their revenue stream, Google had to terminate any concept of community regarding employee relations. Consultants whose only source of income is consultation. They always trim.
That is how it reads from the outside looking in. How much is actually true?
Every single Artificial Intelligence engineer is working on his or her replacement. Because that is simply how the world works. You have no choice.
One thing Google gets global credit for, it will never be beat – how they got the world to say; “just google it”. I still say “just search for it”. A young person paid probably will always correct me; “you mean – just google it?”. “I said what I mean”.
