What does it say as a fan that they never let any memorabilia leave the set? No buffs, no immunity idol from such and such episode. That would really encourage a fan base.
Merchandising is the reason why. The fact that no trinkets are allowed out is a big FU to the fan base. Survivor in the United States has been running over 50 episodes. The trading market should be overflowing with marketable goods.
Seriously, I am not simply pointing the finger. I am asking a valid question into the logic.
Capitalists do not do emotional attachments like normal humans. Their life blood runs green. A self imposed tragedy for society.
“Fanfare” in the American culture is as basic as moms apple pie. Who is your favorite team? Say it loud and proud. Yet it is very disrespectfully denied. And we cannot wait for the next episode.
You are entitled to your memory. Nothing more or less. That is why people pride themselves with knowing the facts. Facts and memories are the only non-tangible items allowed.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in America somebody proudly has on display the first pair of socks “The Babe” wore as a child.
They will make you laugh and smile while robbing you of your joy.
