I am doing major projects on my computer this week. So, AI tells me to run this command and show me the results. (results x=2). We get a little further on and hit a conditional branch; AI Says: if X=2 do such and such. But if x=3 do not proceed.
I thought to myself; “damn his memory is worse than mine”. At least I have an excuse, 65 year old. rofl
Money is the root of all evil. Artificial intelligence may just provide the proof.
The PCIe board made bad decisions and chose to compound them. 15 years from now you will be sued for all your profits. What have ye gained?
[updated 26-Feb-2026. I have just been informed by AI that any ledger, or graph requests could only be completed using batch data input by myself. I was basically told that it would generate a chart if I input the data, but that it could not do both. how is that useful? I will tell you how. they are grabbing at straws trying to fix the memory wall at the client level. specifically, store less data that needs retrieving from hdd (or ssd in their case). batch data input takes us back to the 1980’s when I first started in computer operations. the definition of Data Processing is the input of raw data and the output of information. we are back to the beginning]
[if AI is ever 100% effective as a tool, it will be when PCIe has been updated. when that occurs, all computers in use at that time will need to be replaced. if PCIe is done in phases to maintain hardware legitimacy it will take 150 years. I really regret that AI was released ‘anyway’ as opposed to the right way. it could have been really useful. as it stands you will all rehire your human staff]
[updated 27-Feb-2026. I have been working on a kvm/qemu VM install with ChatGPT. ChatGPT is typically better than copilot for technical. I wanted to see what the design would be using and AI cli install. I like the cli aspect, however – I have no Internet. So I went back to AI who has previously mentioned that the VM would assign a specific address. The IP address assigned is not the same as my network. So I go back and ChatGPT was to do a sophisticated troubleshoot on both networks. I shut it down. I already knew what the problem was. The AI install completely overlooked creating the bridge between the two networks. And was unable to make the connection until I told it.
“Perfect. 👍
Yes — if your LAN is 192.168.99.0/24 and you want the VM directly on that network (real IP from your router, visible on LAN), then NAT (virbr0 / 192.168.122.0) is not what you want.
You want a bridged interface.
We’ll do this the correct Rocky/Fedora way using NetworkManager.”
Had I been a less experienced user this project would be a fail. I would have to leave AI and do my own searches. I still use it but AI (all) are tremendously difficult to manage. I repeat, do not dismiss your human workforce with disrespect. you will need them back]
