I am not sure what number of explanations we are exposed to with regards to Trump taking Maduro. I was browsing and realized that China and Russia own large stakes in Venezuelan oil fields. So, obviously I looked deeper:
U.S. Strategic Doctrine: The Trump administration’s 2025 National Security Strategy explicitly states that the U.S. will “deny non-Hemispheric competitors the ability to own or control strategically vital assets in our Hemisphere.” This doctrine is now being operationalized in Venezuela, where Chinese and Russian commercial and strategic holdings are being reassessed or potentially seized.
Obviously, there will be no immediate response from Russia and China. Payback at these operating levels, takes time. Payback will not be against Trump.
Of particular note, one of Trumps claims is that the US is owed billions from when Chavez nationalized American Oil firms. He has just done the same thing to Russia and China. Fortunately, Trump is the only irrational leader in the world today. I will take this opportunity to remind people that Chavez helped Americans with their oil bill in the winter months, as in a free oil program. I was living in New Jersey at the time; I got this information from my utility bill.
Americans will decide later this year if President Trumps rein will survive. My protest non-vote against legislators who do not acknowledge genocide, is continued.
God saved me from myself. Had it not been for my silent protest. I would have probably voted for President Trump, based on his first term. I would feel really bad now.
