The single most enduring deterrent deployed by America to this day is pragmatism. We could be counted on for our maturity, even as one of the youngest nations on earth.
As nations begin to feel that we are losing our pragmatism, we automatically become a threat. There are many potential battles, all across the globe now on a razors edge. The United States no longer has the ability to stabilize a conflict, legitimately. Therefore, the world is less secure. All emotional instabilities in the world, now come to the fore.
I am making this claim, not based upon the extraction of Nicolas Maduro – but upon the wanton and lawless murders that took place before the actual mission began.
Those murders are only lawful in a theatre of war. Law enforcement officials do not have leave to murder all suspects. The law says they must be brought before a court of law. Therefore, we end as we begin – the end of international law.
